Toluene sulfonamide is used as high-performance plasticizer for paints, adhesives, nitrocellulose, and plastics. Formulating with toluene sulfonamide promotes resistance to oils, greases, and solvents. It is used as antistatic agents and as gloss enhancers in plastic film preparations. It is used as basic material of electroplating solutions.
Toluene sulfonamides, or derivatives thereof, are used as intermediate for a number of organic synthesis for the field of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes, pigments, fluorescent brighteners, resins, and other organic target compound preparations.
Our Toluene Sulfonamides
Toluene Sulfonamide is a mixture of ortho and para n-Ethyl Toluenesulfonamide. It is one of the most widely compatible plasticizers. In addition, the product promotes adhesion and has excellent thermal stability. Toluene sulfonamide is highly polar and readily plasticizes nylon, other polyamides, shellac, cellulose acetate and protein materials.
Toluene Sulfonamide is a clear liquid with a viscosity of 250-400 mPa·s. Toluene sulfonamide is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) according to the Code of Federal Regulations 21: 175.105 indirect food additives, adhesives and coatings; 175.300 Resinous and polymeric Coatings; 175.320 Resinous and polymeric coatings for polyolefin films; 176.180 Components of paper and paperboard in contact with Aqueous and fatty foods; 176.180 Components of paper and paperboard in contact with dry food; 177.1200 Cellophane; 177.1210 Closures with sealing gaskets for food containers.
