Carbon Black Pigments
Carbon Black is a fine powder made from incomplete combustion of carbonaceous materials (mainly petroleum). It is pure black beads or powder. The color strength, fineness, and gravity are all varied with the change of raw materials and processing methods. Carbon black is not dissoluble in water, acid, or alkali but can be burned into CO2 in the air. The main element of carbon black is carbon, while also including a very small volume of hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, ash, tar, and water.
Benefits of Carbon Black
The most common use of carbon black is as a pigment and reinforcing agent in rubber products such as belts and tires. Carbon black is also used in inks, paints, coatings, printer toner, and as a primary ingredient in some radar absorbent materials.
