Overbased Calcium sulfonate is a high quality acid scavenger used mainly in the lubrication industry. It exhibits inherent extreme pressure (EP) and anti-wear properties that are utilized to promote lubricity and rust prevention under the most severe conditions
Overbased Calcium sulfonate is also used as the thickener in the manufacture of calcium sulfonate based greases. There are several grades of overbased calcium sulfonate available, depending on your individual application.
Benefits of Calcium Sulfonate
General applications for overbased calcium sulfonate include: calcium sulfonate thickened grease, automatic transmission fluid (ATF), oils, cutting fluids, hydraulic fluids, and rust preventative oils. Many grades are appropriate for H-1 food grade formulation applications.
